I once asked God, “If painting is what You’ve called me to do, then what do You want me to paint?” One night, in a dream, a familiar passage was deeply impressed upon my heart—Psalm 23. I can no longer recall the details of the dream, nor describe it clearly, but I know with certainty that it was God revealing His promise to me. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” These words are more than Scripture. They are a true reflection of my life. Since coming to know God, I have walked through each line of Psalm 23 and experienced it personally. This painting is His work. He used my hands and guided me through the process. It is a response and a beginning. It is His personal answer to the question I once asked Him. He is my Shepherd, who restored my soul and helped me see the world anew. What once seemed like ordinary scenery has become a forest shaped by His own hands. In that place, I saw light, I saw life, and I saw His abiding presence. He showed me that the world I once deeply feared is, in fact, full of wonder, bursting with color and beauty. And all of it speaks of His unfailing love, abundant provision, and tender comfort.
